The Thunderbirds Men’s Basketball team headed south on Wednesday for a showdown with the Coffeyville Red Ravens. Cloud County came into this game with a 15-6 record and was coming off a big win at home against Pratt. The T-Birds have definitely had their share of ups and downs this season, but Wednesday night they ran into a very competitive Red Raven team. Things didn’t go as planned as they got off to a rocky start. Cloud didn't hit its first field goal until about five minutes into the game. Ramion Burt was the one who broke that scoreless stretch. Sophomore guard Deon Lyle came into this game as the leading scorer for the Cloud County but that was quickly shutdown as the Red Ravens defense held him to just 10 pts and the team to just 58.

It was definitely a lopsided victory for Coffeyville as they put the T-Birds away by 22. As conference play continues to heat up Coffeyville would like to continue their winning streak. As for the Thunderbirds they will have to go back to the drawing board and get ready for the Homecoming gameSaturday night against Neosho County. This should be a really good game as the 7-15 Panthers come into Concordia looking for the upset.
