Art Show Friday the 13th

Come to the Arley Bryant Gymnaisum to check out some incredible talent.

On Friday, April 13th, Cloud County Community College will be hosting a high school art show in Arley Bryant Gymnasium. Students from several area high schools will have different pieces of their artwork displayed in the show. The gymnasium will be open to the public between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.. Students also have the chance to win a “Viewer’s Choice Award” which the public is invited to vote on.

Throughout the day the students will participate in breakout session. A few of those sessions include: a sidewalk chalk competition, digital photography, ceramics, graphic design, painting, and drawing. All competitions will be judged and trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third places along with a trophy for best in show piece. Judges for the art show will be Karen Scroggins, assistant professor/graphic arts and the director of visual arts program at Friends University, and Barb Stevens, retired art instructor from CCCC.
