KSHSAA Regional Festival

On Saturday, April 1st, 2017 KSHSAA Regional Festival will be held at Cloud County Community College. The Regional Festival is for Solo & Ensemble for Vocal, Band and Orchestra. The Festival is for high school students who have been preparing for this for a long time. They will be judged from a scale of 1-5, 1 being superior and 5 meaning "needs improvement". There will be medals handed out to students receiving 1’s and certificates to students receiving a 2. Any student receiving a 1 will go to the State Festival in a month (April 29th).  It is a campus-wide festival. Roughly 300 students will be here from 25 different high schools in the region. Cloud will not provide the judges for the festival, KSHSAA will provide judges.

The Regional Festival is open to the public, free admission. People are welcome to come and listen to anyone performing in the rooms, but you can enter or leave a room while someone is performing. If anyone has questions before, or during, the festival you can contact Sheila Caspers, Email: scaspers@cloud.edu TEL: 785-243-1435 ext. 351. Cloud Chamber singers and Band will be there to help out throughout the day. There will be a headquarters set up in the Financial Aid office so if anyone has questions throughout the day they can head there.
