The Thunder Behind Cloud is switching things up!

KVCO makeover

KVCO is undergoing massive changes this semester. As many students know, we are under new management from Maddie Troshynski. Maddie has increased the number of shows, as well as the involvement in radio by other students. Maddie, and the other managers, have recruited a record number of students currently working for the station. Last semester there were only 10 people involved with radio, this semester we have more than doubled that by having 29 students and counting involved.

KVCO has also gained increased online activity with social media sites. The KVCO Twitter that is now active and used every day. In addition to the Twitter, we also have an Instagram and Facebook. Hailey Peaser has taken charge, posting on various social media pages every day. It is now easy for Cloud Students to be updated on KVCO activities, as well as request songs.

KVCO has also recently submitted more than 20 entries to KAB (Kansas Association of Broadcasters). KVCO will represent Cloud County Community College by attending and receiving awards from KAB later this year in Topeka where we will compete against all other colleges and universities in the state of Kansas.

All members of KVCO have worked extremely hard this semester, and the station “vibe” has changed so much over the last few weeks. Under student management and leadership we continue to exceed expectations, and grow as a station family. It’s not too late to sign up for a show, come by the station to become a part of the 88.3 family!
