Bring Your Talent - Auditions Are Next Week!

Cloud County Community College Theatre Department is having auditions for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee". Auditions will be held Monday, January 30th, and Tuesday, January 31st at 6:00 p.m. in Cook Theatre. During auditions there will be multiple tryout components: a singing and a dance group audition. You don’t have to be a good singer to audition; you just have to be willing to learn new things and go outside your comfort zone.

"The 25th Annual County Spelling Bee" is about a group of eclectic six-graders as they arrive at The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Each student is eager to win for different reasons. A sweet, shy girl named Olivia brings her best friend the dictionary with her. A bold speller, William Barfee, uses his “Magic Foot” to help him succeed. Former Champion Chip is battling with puberty at the spelling bee. Leaf, who is easily distracted, thinks he's not smart enough to win the Bee. Overachiever Marcy is disappointed by her success. Finally, politically aware Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre only wants to impress her gay dads.In hilarious, touching, and catchy songs, each speller reveals his/her hopes, struggles, and passions as they make their way through the competition.

This is a perfect for anyone who is looking for something new to do. Anyone is welcome to come and audition.
