Cloud Gearing Up to Kick Off Spring Semester

Classes begin a week from today

Back in December most students made plans for all the activities, adventures, and rest they were going to enjoy in that glorious month off between fall and spring semester. Whether you made good on your plans, or ended up napping and Netflix-ing the semester break away; classes start in one week. Time flies and now we are only a week away from the beginning of the spring semester. Here are a few tips to get you ready and back into the swing of academic life:

  • Stop napping and start keeping more consistent hours. This will help you stay awake in the afternoon during a lab and also prevent you from going to sleep at 3 a.m. each morning. Routines are a key to success!
  • Make sure you're listed as "Current" on your spring class schedule. If you aren't; go to i-Cloud, or call the Business Office, and set up a payment plan. Otherwise, you may lose your spot in the class.
  • Check the book requirement list for each of your enrolled courses. If you wait too long to order your book, and don't have Amazon Prime, you may miss out of a lot of key information and assignments those first few classes.
  • Arrive back to your dorm early enough to put stuff away and have some down time relax. You don't want to come back the night before classes start, feel flustered and unsettled, and live out of a suitcase for several weeks.
  • If you're unsure as to where your classes are located - walk around campus next Tuesday (the day before classes start) and look for them. No one wants to be tardy on the first day.
The Spring 2017 semester is on track to be a great one. We are happy to have you back on campus. Best of luck to all you T-Birds this semester!
