What you can do to keep safe during storm season

It is that time again for Mother Nature to show her not so friendly side on this Tuesday, April 29th, 2016. Already a first round of severe weather made its way through North Central Kansas early this morning with only more to come this afternoon.

The National Weather Service Severe Prediction Center in Norman Oklahoma has issued a Moderate Risk Outlook for all of Central Kansas. “Severe Thunderstorms will be possible across parts of the southern and central great plains this afternoon into the nighttime hours. Tornadoes, some strong will be possible. In addition to very large hail and damaging winds…” from the Severe Prediction Center.

Damaging winds, along with hail and tornados are all possible along with isolated flooding. Take today seriously as weather can change rapidly.

Today Concordia looks to hit a high temperature of 78 degrees with winds at 10-15 with gusts at 20 miles per hour
