Cloud will host talented high school artists on campus Friday

On Friday, April 15th, Cloud County Community College will be hosting the annual high school art show. The art show will have a day full of excitement starting at 8 a.m.. There will be a sidewalk art competition, workshops, and awards. The theme for the sidewalk art will be “Time & Space".

The workshops will include: photography, ceramics, animation, clay carving, and mural painting.

The gym will be open to the public to view the art from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Judges for the art show include:

  • Jim Nelson, who studied at the Art Student League in New York, Western Mural painter for Raymond Lowey in New York 1965-1966, western illustrator for Caxton Western Publishing Company Coldwell Id., and a combat artist 25th infantry division Vietnam 1968.
  • Nick Jones, former CCCC Graphic Design Instructor, with a B.A., B.S., and a M.A. from Kansas State, and M.F.A. University of New Mexico.
There is an exciting day planned, so come out and see some of the art work!
