CCCC Teams Ready For Post-Season Play

Volleyball hosts Wednesday against Barton, while Men's Soccer is heading to Topeka


The Cloud County soccer team advances to the district finals after earning a 2-1 victory on Sunday, November 1 over Cowley County. Connor Halpin, who is the team’s lead scorer, scored twice. In the fifty-fifth minute he scored his first goal and in the sixty-fifth minute he scored again. Cowley County scored late but it wasn’t enough. The Thunderbirds will play their next game in Topeka on Thursday for a chance to advance to nationals.


Thursday, October 29, the Lady Thunderbirds volleyball team looked strong and got back on track after a four game losing streak with a win over Garden City Community College in straight sets. Cloud County won with scores of 28-26, 25-11, and 25-18. The Lady Thunderbirds ended the regular season with a record of 21-11. Garden City finished with a record of 6-33, but had a very young team. Cloud Volleyball will host Barton CC Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Arley Bryant Gymnasium. Come out and cheer on your team!
